A Toyota já começa a desvendar os modelos que vai mostrar no Salão de Tokyo de 3 a 11 de Dezembro.

Novo Prius C / Aqua

It's finally here – Toyota's new standalone hybrid hatchback model that will be sold as the Aqua in Japan and as the Prius c in the rest of the world.
With the Prius C, Toyota expands its lineup of Prius-badged hybrid models that already includes the regular Prius, the new plug-in Prius PHEV and the Prius V minivan. The new five-door hatchback model takes its place as the base model of the Prius family.

At 3,995mm (157.3-in.) long, 1,695mm (66.7-in.) wide, and 1,445mm (56.9-in.) tall with a wheelbase of 2,550mm (100.4-in.), the Prius C is marginally bigger than the latest generation of the Yaris (153.5" long, 66.7" wide, and 59.4" tall with a 98.8" wheelbase).

The Prius C features a compact and lightweight hybrid system that combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a high-output electric motor.

While Toyota did not release any other details, a leaked Japanese brochure reveals that in the JDM [Japanese Domestic Market] model, the 1.5-liter petrol unit produces 74HP at 4,800 rpm and 111Nm (81.9 lb-ft) of torque at 4,800 rpm, with the electric motor chipping in up to 61HP and 169Nm (125 lb-ft). In JDM tune, the hybrid system's combined output is 100HP.

Toyota said that it expects the U.S.-market Prius C to return a fuel economy better than 50 mpg (equal to 4.7lt/100km) in the city, which it says is the "highest city mpg of any non-plug-in vehicle".

In Japan, the Aqua will have a fuel efficiency of 35.4 km/L (~ 83.3 mpg US or 2.8lt/100km) under the JC08 test cycle and 40 km/L (94 mpg US or 2.5lt/100 km) under the 10-15 test cycle.

Prices will be announced later, but Toyota said it will be offered "at an attractive price" in the U.S. Standard features will include Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity, steering-wheel audio controls, and nine airbags while the firm's new Entune multimedia system will also be available.

The Aqua will make its world premiere at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show at the end of November and go on sale in Japan in late December, while the Prius C will debut at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show in mid-January with U.S. sales to start in spring.

Toyota iQ Eléctrico FT-EV III Concept

While on the forefront of hybrid technology, Toyota is also looking into electric vehicles with plans to introduce a new range of battery-powered models within the next year including the RAV4 EV.
At the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, which opens its doors on November 30, the Japanese brand will preview a pure-electric version of the Toyota/Scion/Aston Martin iQ mini with the FT-EV III Concept.

Toyota said that a production version of the study suitable for short-distance travel will be introduced into the market in 2012, with more details to be announced at a later date.

The FT-EV III is powered by an electric motor that draws energy from a lithium-ion battery. According to Toyota, the zero-emissions iQ achieves an estimated driving range of 105 kilometers (65 miles) on a fully charged battery.




Toyota FCV-R Fuel-Cell Concept

Toyota's conceptual products at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show are a bit more than crowd pleasers as both the FT-EV III mini we showed you earlier today and the FCV-R study pictured here, are slated to enter production.
The FCV-R is a next-generation fuel-cell concept model fueled by hydrogen that Toyota says is planned for launch in 2015.

According to the Japanese automaker, the fuel-cell unit is located beneath the specially designed body thus saving space with the concept being able to accommodate up to four passengers and their luggage.

The next generation fuel cell stack consists of a 70 MPa high-pressure hydrogen tank, which said to provide a driving range of approximately 700 km or about 435 miles.

Being that the FCV-R not only resembles the Prius in looks but is also very similar in size at 4,745 mm long, 1,790 mm wide and 1,510 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, it is possible that the two cars share the same platform architecture.

We'll know more when Toyota officially reveals the car at the Tokyo show on November 30.

Então em DCi ou HDi é por demais....parece que já estao nas ultimas a sair de fabrica....

Onde é que o diesel esta proximo da gasolina?
Nas emissoes de particulas? Na suavidade de funcionamento? Nas vibraçoes geradas??
Com o actual investimento das marcas em motores a gasolina qualquer dia os diesel voltam outra vez para segundo plano....exemplo disso é o 328i F30 da BMW que até os consumos são muito bons mesmo....e tem potência, binario...

Falava a nivel de preço... esta a 10centimos de diferença onde moro. Eu adoro o som dos diesel mas sei que o futuro passa por um hibrido, foi isso que me quis referir.

Estou no 10 (Aube) em França... o gasoleo esta a 1.372€/l e a gasolina 95 a 1.479€/l... e existe uma coisa que muitos poucos postos de abastecimento tem que e o bio-etanol (com 15% de gasolina misturada) que esta a 0.899€/l

É que esta ao preço da chuva....mesmo sendo preciso gastar algum se for preciso para o motor aceitar, que não sei muito bem como funciona....

É que fica praticamente ao mesmo preço que ir ao Jumbo comprar oleo alimentar para por nos diesel...
Combustivel a menos de 1€ o litro...nunca meti disso....mas gostava....

Sim venda livre (e o tal E85 sim :) ) nunca vi foi la muita gente a abastecer. Que conheça so a ford tem um modelo ca a venda com o motor 2.0 que aceita gasolina e isso. Eu estou aqui a 2 anos e sempre conheci aquilo a venda, no inicio desconhecia mesmo o que seria so depois e que me informei.


p.s.- nunca meti oleo no meu carro pq tenho medo que aconteça algo, mas que ja me passou pela ideia la isso passou

Tive um colega meu com um Golf II que ainda fez uns valentes quilometros so disso, ele dizia que o motor fica mais suave e tudo...o problema é o cheiro.... xP
