Euro 5 compliant engine
Toyota's Verso MPV will soon be offered with a BMW diesel engine for the 1.6 D-4D version.
It was December 2011 when BMW agreed to provide 1.6- and 2.0-liter diesel engines to Toyota and now we have the first BMW-powered Toyota. It's the Verso model in the 1.6 D-4D variant which is set to enter production next month in Turkey.
Power will come from a 1.6-liter engine delivering 110 bhp (82 kW) and 199 lb-ft (270 Nm) of torque between 1,750 and 2,250 rpm with CO2 emissions of 119 g/km. This is a Euro 5 compliant engine used in the BMW 1-Series and the previous MINI and is being manufactured by the Bavarian marque at their facility in Austria.
As a reminder, at the beginning of the year BMW and Toyota decided to expand their collaboration by co-developing a sports car. In addition, they will also work together to create a fuel cell system which will be ready before the end of the decade. Other objectives include conducting research in lithium-based batteries and developing lightweight manufacturing technologies.

Será que ao colocarem o motor no Auris o 1.4 irá desaparecer? E o 2.0 como ficará, visto que em mais 400cc não tira muito mais?
